About Hot Glass Works
Hot Glass Works is a mobile teaching facility that enables demonstration, lecture, and hands-on-glass to contribute to and impact at-risk youth in their own surroundings. Providing art classes to at-risk kids instills courage in their lives through an example of courage. Hot Glass Works desires for others to share the responsibilities where life’s influences are reflected in the creation of expressive fine art.
HGW's goals places us all as educators. HGW seeks to facilitate the creative process to each individual regardless of previous experience or skill, as everyone is an artist in their own right. Education in art-glass creation encompasses knowledge and theory of other art mediums and craftsmanship to achieve a finished work. In this task HGW energizes growth that encompasses individuality by supporting progressive ideas in search of expression. HGW believes time and knowledge is a valuable contribution in making hot glass sculpture available as an artistic medium to society. HGW also believes the more we know about each other the more we as individuals can contribute to humanity.
Scholarships for eligible participants are provided through businesses willing to partnership in advertising. HGW is geared to provide supplementary instruction to any existing art curriculum elementary through college.
